Developing & Delivering Training Programmes
Nichola has extensive experience in developing and delivering training programmes for government (the UK Department of Health’s Health Trainer programme), professional bodies (including The Royal College of Surgeons in England; The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons; Harley Academy, London; The Australasian Foundation for Plastic Surgery; The UWE/Nepal collaboration in Public Health) health professionals, charities, undergraduate and postgraduate students and the broader public in many countries including the UK, multiple European countries, Australia, India & Nepal.
She has led or co-led three EU funded networking and training projects, including the Cooperation in Science & Technology (COST) Action ‘Appearance Matters’ (IS1210) – a network of 243 participants from 36 countries (https://www.cost.eu/actions/IS1210). The outputs from this 4 year programme of work were rated ‘excellent’ by the independent evaluator. She has also partnered in a further five Horizon + EU funded networking and training projects, producing open access training materials for educationalists, health care professionals & trainers across Europe. She led the American Cleft Palate Association’s Global Task Force on Patient Centered Outcomes for 9 years, developing training modules for health professionals working in the field across the world
